Psychology

TheDivision of Psychology and Behavioral Healthat OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois offers evaluation, assessment and treatment of children with emotional, behavioral and developmental problems from ages birth through 18 years old and to their families.

The services provided include:

  • Attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder(ADHD) evaluation and management
  • Behavioral managements
  • Family therapy
  • Individual therapy
  • Medically related adjustment disorders (Diabetes, CF, evaluation and management)
  • Psychological evaluation
  • Stress management

The staff does not treat psychiatric emergencies and instead refers them to the Emergency Department at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, and a local psychiatrist is consulted for management.

Eating Disorders

饮食失调程序提供comprehensive medical, nutritional and psychological care to adults and adolescents with eating disorders. Because of the complex nature of these disorders, they offer treatment from a variety of professionals including dietitians, nurses, occupational therapy staff, physicians, psychologists, and psychotherapists. After having a psychotherapist evaluate the patient, they will then determine the treatment plan.

The department offers outpatient services and partial hospitalization. They also offer a Patient Support Group for those recovering from anorexia nervosa and/or bulimia nervosa, and a Family Awareness Support Group designed to help family and friends who have a significant other who is currently or has previously struggled with an eating disorder.
