The Advanced Imaging and Modeling (AIM) Lab is a team of engineers and medical professionals who are experts in the 3D modeling workflow and have developed new methods for automating this process. It's goal is to advance multi-dimensional imaging and modeling into everyday clinical impact.
AIM launched in 2013 when researchers with OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois developed a process with Jump Simulation engineers to convert two-dimensional images of the heart into 3D printed replicas for pre-surgical planning.
The first heart printed at Jumpchanged the courseof a nine month old girl's surgery, leading to a new standard of care for the most complex surgical cases within OSF.
We now have a team of engineers at Jump and the University of Illinois producing exact anatomical digital images that can be printed or integrated into virtual environments like augmented and virtual realities.
通过慷慨的捐助者nd partners, the AIM Lab is providing leading edge solutions that improve patient outcomes at no cost to them and transform how clinicians view human anatomy and pathology.
AIM is a member of theJump ARCHEScollaboration.
