Our newly remodeled Birthing Center provides spacious, private birthing suites for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum, combining a relaxing environment with compassionate care. The suites allow mom to labor, deliver and recover in the same space with their baby, along with room for the family to visit and bond with their new bundle of joy.

Parenting and Birthing Classes
We offer a wide range of classes online and in-person for expecting moms and dads, including Child Birth Education Classes and Sibling Classes.
All programs require pre-registration and are free of charge. OSF St. Mary also offers a newborn channel to watch during your hospital stay.

About Our Delivery Experience
The birthing center at OSF St. Mary is large enough to provide a comprehensive range of services, yet small enough to assure individualized care for you and your family.
Private rooms
The birthing center's labor rooms are private and attractive. Your support person may be with you during the birthing process, and other family members may wait nearby in a comfortable lounge where reading materials and phones are available.
Our birthing rooms are designed to provide a safe, home-like atmosphere where you can share your child's birth experience. The rooms are equipped with infant warming beds, television sets, a telephone and a private bathroom.
Technology
All obstetric services at the birthing center are designed to ensure a safe and comfortable birthing experience.
Our physicians use the latest in ultrasound technology to monitor your child's development, and our entire team is certified in neonatal resuscitation.
Lactational Specialists
Choosing to breastfeed can be one of the most important decisions a mother makes to protect her baby's health and well-being. We have lactation specialists available to help answer questions and guide mothers through the challenges of breastfeeding.
Pediatric Care
Our Birthing Center at OSF St. Mary has pediatricians on site to help monitor and ensure your baby is healthy from the start.
Teleneonatal services are available for babies needing special care after delivery. If your baby needs to be transferred toOSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois in Peoria, you can take comfort as a parent knowing they will receive consistent and high-quality care right here in central Illinois, without the need to travel to Chicago or St. Louis.
