Background

I strive to listen to my patients while being attentive, nonjudgmental and compassionate. I provide patients with the facts, provide thoughtful recommendations and empower patients to make the best decision for themselves.

Biography

Dr. Kharoufeh began his OSF HealthCare career through his residency program and continues collaborating with the wonderful clinicians he worked with as a resident.

"I make every effort to ensure that my patients feel heard and take the time to understand their concerns," he said. "I hope that we have addressed each concern meaningfully and patients leave with a sense of peace after each visit."

Dr. Kharoufeh discovered his passion for Obstetrics and Gynecology as a medical student. He considers it a privilege and tremendous responsibility to care for patients in some of the most joyous times and provide comfort during times of heartbreak.

Dr. Kharoufeh was born in Honduras and lived there until he was nine. He then moved to Texas with his family, where he grew up. He has been in Peoria since matching into the University of Illinois College of Medicine residency program.

He is engaged to Shannon, and they have a beloved calico cat. He enjoys reading, cooking, running, cycling and trivia night competitions that are known to get a little competitive.

Dr. Kharoufeh speaks fluent Spanish and will communicate with patients in the language they feel most comfortable using.
