Biography

Dr. Kramer is from a small town in Minnesota called Maple Plain, which is something between a rural community and a suburban one.

She was inspired to pursue a career in medicine by the opportunity to do something meaningful. She views medicine as a vocation – a calling.

"I appreciate the opportunity to walk with patients during times when they are sick, scared, lonely, happy and joyful," Dr. Kramer said. "The personal connection is what I find most meaningful in medicine.

"As an OB/GYN, I am privileged to be part of some of the happiest moments in a woman's life, as well as sometimes heartbreaking times. This makes every day at work incredibly meaningful."

Making sure every patient feels like she is a part of her own care is important to Dr. Kramer. Counseling and educating to make sure each patient understands their care are a vital part of implementing a treatment plan.

"It is also really important to me that patients feel comfortable and welcome in discussing topics that might be uncomfortable or embarrassing," she said. "I strive to be an empathetic and listening ear for all my patients."

Dr. Kramer is married with children. The family enjoys camping, mountain biking and otherwise exploring the outdoors. Dr. Kramer is also an aspiring runner who has completed a half-marathon. She is working up the courage to take on a full marathon.
