I develop a collaborative, non-judgmental relationship that emphasizes the patient's strengths, and provide evidence-based interventions to target the patient's symptoms and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Armstrong's quest to understand why people do what they do led her into the field of psychology. She is especially interested in anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
She has received advanced training in evidence-based treatments for mood and anxiety disorders, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP) and habit reversal training (HRT).
A native of the Chicago area, Dr. Armstrong earned her bachelor's degree from Bradley University in 2007.
She returned to the Peoria area in 2019 because OSF HealthCare offered the opportunity to serve a diverse patient population and provide evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals in need of treatment for mood and anxiety disorders.
In her private time, Dr. Armstrong enjoys hiking, kayaking, wall-climbing and running.
