My experience have made me a more holistic provider. It's important to have a more comprehensive view of every patient – understanding their personal, family and work lives and how all that impacts their health.
Dr. Rohrscheib has been in practice in Central Illinois for nearly 25 years and sees joining OSF HealthCare as a good fit.
"It is my observation that OSF is the best overall system with which to be aligned," he said. "I believe OSF is the future of health care in the Danville area."
Dr. Rohrscheib's decision to pursue a medical career was influenced by his father-in-law.
"He was a do-it-all general practitioner in a small town outside of Decatur," he said. "While I never worked with him, I identified with him and assumed that it was his natural, reassuring way that contributed to his success."
During an appointment, patients can expect Dr. Rohrscheib to be focused in addressing the problem that brought them to him. "And hopefully, there's time to make a better acquaintance and learn something interesting about them," he said.
Married for 30 years, he and his wife, a dietitian, have two daughters who also are in health care. When not working, Dr. Rohrscheib enjoys fixing things, especially restoring classic cars, and is currently remaking a wooden boat.
