Our Team
Theda VinciXi Systemis a sophisticated robotic platform designed to expand the surgeon's capabilities - and for the first time - offer a minimally invasive option for major surgery. The System can be used across a spectrum of minimally invasive surgical procedures and has been optimized for multi-quadrant surgeries (procedures in which instruments must be able to reach up and down and across the abdomen and chest) in the areas of cardiology, gynecology, urology and general surgery.
Withda VinciXi System,small incisions are used to introduce miniaturized wristed instruments and a high-definition 3D camera. Seated comfortably at theda Vinciconsole, your surgeon views a magnified, high-resolution 3D image of the surgical site. At the same time, state-of-the-art robotic and computer technologies scale, filter and seamlessly translate your surgeon's hand movements into precise micro-movements of theda Vinciinstruments. The System cannot be programmed, nor can it make decisions on its own. Rather, theda VinciSystem requires that every surgical maneuver be performed with direct input from your surgeon.
Theda Vinci Xi Systemallows our surgeons to perform major surgery through the smallest of incisions. You will receive the benefits of a definitive treatment but with the potential for significantly less pain, a shorter hospital stay, faster return to normal daily activities - as well as the potential for better clinical outcomes.
As with all da Vinci Surgical Systems, the surgeon is 100% in control of the robotic-assisted da Vinci System, which translates his/her hand movements into smaller, more precise movements of tiny instruments inside the patient’s body. The Xi System’s 3D-HD vision system provides surgeons a highly magnified view, virtually extending their eyes and hands into the patient.
