Journey to Magnet Excellence®

The Magnet Recognition Program®is an international designation awarded to organizations who successfully align their nursing strategic goals to improve patient outcomes.

To achieve initial Magnet®recognition, organizations must first apply and then submit detailed written documentation providing sources of evidence demonstrating how it meets the standards of excellence expected of a Magnet®组织。

If accepted, a site visit phase occurs where a team of nurse appraisers comes to the organization and verifies and validates what was submitted in the written documentation.

Along with what is witnessed at the organization, feedback from the public and hospital employees are considered.

的评估人员then prepare a summary of their findings and submit this to the Commission on Magnet for final decision.

Journey to Pathway to Excellence®

The Pathway to Excellence®program recognizes healthcare organizations who demonstrate commitment to creating a positive practice environment that engages and empowers employees. These organizations demonstrate their investment in recruiting and retaining nurses through high job satisfaction.

To achieve initial designation as a Pathway to Excellence® organization, hospitals must first apply and then submit detailed written documentation providing sources of evidence demonstrating how it meets the standards of excellence expected of a Pathway®组织。

If accepted, the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) administers a confidential, online survey to all nurses in the organization. Following the survey, the Commission on Pathway to Excellence®makes the final decision to award this designation.
