Dietetic Internship Program Director
Ashley started as the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center Dietetic Internship Director in June of 2018. From 2007-2018, she was the adult community and outpatient dietitian at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center. Over the years, Ashley has worked very closely with the dietetic interns on many outpatient, community and media projects, even receiving the coveted "Educator of the Year" award 7 times.
Her professional career consists of presenting the most credible, evidenced based nutrition information through outpatient counseling, community presentations, health fairs and media work. She has over 500 TV appearances under her belt, conducting cooking and nutrition segments on the local news. Her experience with the media allowed Ashley to represent the Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as a media spokesperson from 2013-2018. In 2010, she received the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year award through the Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and remains very active in the state level dietetic association. She believes in balance of healthy eating and regular physical activity as the core of a healthy lifestyle.
