Whether this is your first child or another addition to your family, childbirth is an event that you and your family will cherish the memory of forever.

At theOSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical CenterFamily Birthing Center, our top priority is the health and safety of you and your child, so that the memories of this celebration are ones to cherish.

We are honored to share this important and special time in your life, and you can be assured the right staff will be at your bedside, ready to assist with every situation.

Our private birthing suites provide a comfortable, spacious setting to welcome your child.

Our Family Birthing Center

Take a virtual tour

Our team is there for you, caring for you through every stage of pregnancy, from delivery and recovery to postpartum. We love caring for moms, babies and families and would love to meet you and answer all of your questions.

Prepare for your big day by taking a tour of our center, meeting the staff and familiarizing yourself with the layout.

In-person tours are available every:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday | 11 a.m.
Thursday and Friday | 5 p.m.

We recommend taking a tour four to six weeks before delivery. Tours include up to three couples and will take about one hour.

When you arrive for a tour

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time to allow for parking and navigating to the birthing wing. We recommend you use our easy and free valet parking available on the first floor of the North parking deck or at the main entrance.

Directions to birthing wing:

Once inside the hospital, follow the hallway to the skywalk.
After crossing the skywalk, the Zone 2 elevators will be immediately to your left. Take the Zone 2 elevators to the 5th floor.
Check in at the triage desk. One of the members of our leadership team will meet you there to begin your tour.

You’ve planned for everything else. Don’t forget to meet your care team and get comfortable with your accommodations before the big day.

Parenting & Birthing Classes

Before you give birth, we invite you to check out our resources. Our informational online classes can be viewed in the comfort of your own home. If you prefer in person classes, our understanding birth class and breastfeeding class are both offered at the Breast Feeding Resource Center in Peoria. All classes are free and registration for in person classes can be done by clicking “Find a Class” below.

Baby Photos

We offerBella Baby Photographyto take a variety of photos of your family and new baby.

We encourage you to use our online photo service to private release those first precious glimpses to family and friends.

A password-protected custom slideshow will be available to you for 14 days after the photos are taken.

With your consent, the photographer will also post the photos online.

Save time and reduce stress when it’s time for your baby to be delivered.

Once you arrive on theOSF Saint Francis campus, follow the appropriatedirectionsto arrive at the Family Birthing Center.

If you are in labor, unscheduled, please use the Emergency Department entrance.

If you are arriving for a scheduled delivery, please use the visitors parking deck, then follow the signs to Labor and Delivery, located on the fifth floor of Zone 2.
